Wanda M. Weston, 61, Greensburg, passed away at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. She was born June 30, 1953, in Greensburg, the daughter of Leonard G. and M. Maxine (Gardner) Buchanan.
A lifelong resident of Decatur County, she graduated from South Decatur High School and Ivy Tech School of Nursing and was a nurse at Doctors Park Family Medicine in Columbus. She attended Greensburg Community Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed playing the organ and piano, spending time with family, riding four-wheelers and playing Scrabble.
She married Paul Weston July 10, 1971, at Mount Aerie Baptist Church, and he survives, along with her son, Mike (Krissy) Weston of Greensburg; granddaughter, Shelby Weston of Greensburg; sisters, Martha (Chuck) Bailey of Greenwood and Sharon (Dave) Henson of Indianapolis; brothers, David (Donna) Buchanan of Westport, Steve (Lisa) Buchanan of Greenfield, Neil (Trish) Buchanan of Greensburg, and Andy (Kathy) Buchanan of Indianapolis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Gerald Dale, Richard and Ronald Buchanan.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2014, at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Pastor Perry Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Aerie Cemetery at Letts. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or Gideon’s Memorial Bible Program.
