Lois A. Miller, 80, of Nashville, died at 5:02 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis.
Mrs. Miller was a member of Columbus General Baptist Church and retired from Arvin Industries after 18 years of service. Prior to retirement, she devoted her life to raising her children.
She enjoyed reading, crocheting and going to church.
Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Columbus General Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Fields, Dr. David Jeffares and the Rev. Richard Jeffares officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Columbus General Baptist Church.
Born in Indianapolis March 16, 1932, Mrs. Miller was the daughter of Irwin Q. and Hazel E. Boucher Broshears.
She is survived by sons, Bill (Becky) Worton of Danville, Indiana, Mike (Shelley) Worton of Texas and Joe (Faye) Worton of Elizabethtown; daughters, Janice (Richard) Jeffares of Nashville, Indiana, Denise (Ken) Mitchell of Columbus, Indiana, and Joyce (David) Denton of Columbus; 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ray (Jo) Broshears of Indianapolis; and a sister, Mildred (Stan) Ames of Indianapolis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Geneva Broshears; and two great-grandchildren.
