Glenn Hughes, 81, of North Cherry Street, died at 11:48 a.m. Sunday, June 3, 2012, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mr. Hughes was a NASCAR fan, especially Dale Earnhart. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Elbert Peters officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
Born in Boston, Ky., Nov. 30, 1930, Mr. Hughes was the son of Charlie and Ruth Jane Cash Hughes. He was preceded in death by two wives, Betty Jean Warren Hughes and Gladys Marie Bailey Hughes.
Survivors include a daughter, Vicki (John) Stults of Columbus; two grandchildren, Dawn (Allen) Miracle and John P. Stults II; and two great-grandchildren, Brant Miracle and Ethan Miracle.
He was preceded in death by two wives; brothers, Curtis Hughes and Charlie Hughes; and sisters, Willie Linton, Kathleen Harris and Little Sis Hughes.
