Nedra Spinks, 68, of Road 800W, died at 8:48 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2012, at her home.
Nedra was a librarian for Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation 39 years, from 1964 until retiring in 2003. She also was a member of Bartholomew County Public Library Board for 16 years.
She enjoyed collecting and selling antiques and was a very active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop Bryan Busselburg officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus, IN 47201.

Born in Champaign-Urbana, Ill., Dec. 28, 1943, Nedra was the daughter of Glen and Eva Mae Reynolds Gates. She married Jack Spinks Aug. 28, 1960.
Survivors include her husband; sons, Mark (Margaret) Spinks of Austin, TX, and Glen Spinks of Columbus, IN; a daughter, Laura (Branndon) Spinks-Howe of Columbus, IN; a sister, Debra (Hank) Witt pf Brazil, IN; and grandchildren, Jack Spinks, Greg Spinks, Mark Spinks, Clayton Spinks, Hannah Spinks, Sydney Lee, Ian Lee and Barrett Howe.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
