E. Juanita Hern, 87, of Seymour, died at 3:50 a.m. Monday, June 18, 2012, at Seymour Crossing Nursing Home.
Juanita was employed as a secretary at Cummins for 37 years. She was a member and past Worthy Matron of Columbus Order of the Eastern Star and played music and taught Sunday school at Bear Creek Baptist Church where she was a member.
Juanita was a very generous person, always helping others in need.
Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Estes officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service Saturday. Burial will be at Bear Creek Baptist Cemetery.

Born in Mitchell March 29, 1925, Juanita was the daughter of Ray and Jewell Murray Anderson. She married Carl M. "Bill" Hern who preceded her in death in 2002.
Survivors include a son, Tom (Rhonda) Hern of Columbus, IN; brothers, Roger Anderson of Liberty Township, OH, Herb Anderson of Madisonville, TN, and Steve Anderson of North Vernon, IN; sisters, Betty Winkler of Pennsylvania, Norma Robertson of Phoenix, AZ, Helen Hall of Seymour, IN, and Linda Wilson of North Vernon, IN; a granddaughter, Heather Hern; and a great-grandson, Nicholas Perez.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Roy Anderson and Dick Anderson; and sisters, LaVern Smith and Marilyn Wells.
