Joseph Davis, 95, died peacefully on June 23, 2012, at Brown County Health and Living in Nashville. He was born in Hillsboro, Indiana, the son of Joseph Davis and Ada (Rice) Davis.
After graduating from high school in Crawfordsville, Indiana, Joe served as a Technical Sergeant in the Army for four years. He and his beloved wife, Anne (Knight) Davis (deceased 4/14/09) lived in Indianapolis for 51 years. He worked for J.C. Sipe Jewelers in downtown Indianapolis for 41 years.
In retirement, they moved to Nashville, Indiana, and later to Columbus, Indiana. In 2009 they moved to Brown County Health and Living. During their initial move to Brown County they became members of the Nashville Christian Church.
Surviving are two sons, Scott Knight Davis of Nashville and Jeffery Joseph Davis of Indianapolis; one daughter-in-law, Jane Graber Davis of Nashville; and four nephews.
A Celebration of Life open house will be held at the Nashville residence of Scott and Jane Davis on Saturday, June 30, from 1:00-5:00 p.m. L.D. Campbell, Interim Minister of the Nashville Christian Church, will speak at 3:00 p.m.
