Dorothy M. Allen, 83, of Greensburg passed away Thursday, July 5,2012 at Silver Oaks Health Campus.
Mrs. Allen was a homemaker and a farm wife. She was a member of Hartsville Baptist Church and Hi Neighbor Home Ec. Club. She also love to read,sew, paint and fish.
The funeral will be conducted at 11a.m. Saturday at Norman Funeral Home in Hope with Pastor Tim Tallent offiiciating. Calling hours will be Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time. Burial will be Bear Creek Cemetery.
Born in Corpus Christi, Texas Sept. 19, 1928, she was the daughter of Harry and Eunice Rudicel Dunkelbarger. She married Lee Allen on Dec. 6, 1947and he survives.
Other survivors include daughters, Pamela (Robert) Crussel of Greensburg, and Kathy (Danny) Summers of Columbus; grandchildren, Sean (Audra) McNear
of Columbus, Nathan ( Bridget) Crussel of Hamilton, Ohio, and Mike Crussel of Greensburg; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Keller, and Layla McNear and Holden Crussel; sisters, Shirley Schwartzkopf of Columbus, Ruth (Alvin ) Roberts ofHartsville and Carol Swegman of Columbus.
Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her parents; brothers John and Eugene Dunkelbarger, and a sister Lois Dunkelbarger.
