Mary Ann Dollens, 81, of Columbus, IN, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Columbus Regional Hospital at 5:10 pm.
Mary Ann was owner of the Beauty Barr Hair Salon in Seymour where she also worked as a stylist. She enjoyed playing the piano, painting and playing golf.
She was born on September 18, 1930, in Brownstown. Her parents, Russell and F. Opal (Reinbold) Goen, preceded her in death. On April 8, 1962, in Brownstown, at the Baptist Church, she married George Dollens, and he survives.
Other survivors include two children, Chris (Gina Derenge-Cross) Cross of Satellite Beach, Florida, and Vickie Grimes of Madison, Indiana; one sister, Betty (Charles) Sprague of Brookville, Indiana; and four grandchildren, Elizabeth Cross and Mike Cross, Gwen Grimes and Ben Grimes.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 12, 2012, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home in Brownstown. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 13, 2012, at 11a.m. at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home, with calling from 10 a.m. until service time.
Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Brownstown.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
