Woman's body pulled from Ohio River near Allegheny County Sanitary Authority plant

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was pulled from the Ohio River near a sewage treatment plant.

The Allegheny County medical examiner's office says Pittsburgh River Rescue was dispatched to an area of the river near the McKees Rocks Bridge about 1:30 p.m. Monday only to find the body of the woman.

The woman's name was not immediately released.

Her body was recovered near the Allegheny County Sanitary Authority plant.

Her cause of death was not immediately clear.
