Police say person critically injured in shooting in north Omaha


OMAHA, Nebraska — Police say a person has been critically injured in a shooting in north Omaha.

The shooting was reported Monday afternoon several blocks away from Omaha North High School. The Omaha World-Herald reports ( ) a wounded man was found outside a pickup that had crashed into a utility pole at an intersection. Additional information was not released.

The person was taken in critical condition to a nearby hospital. The shooting remains under investigation.
