MANCHESTER, Iowa — A man faces several charges in connection with a school bus crash in eastern Iowa that sent 32 students to the hospital.
The Delaware County Sheriff's Office says 41-year-old Monte Klink was served an arrest warrant Thursday on charges that include serious injury by motor vehicle and operating while intoxicated. Court records do not list an attorney.
Authorities say Klink failed to yield at an intersection near Manchester on Oct. 1. His SUV collided with a West Delaware School District bus.
All 32 students and the drivers were transported to the hospital for medical attention. Most students, who are in kindergarten through 12th grade, suffered minor injuries and none had life-threatening injuries.
Klink posted bail and was released from jail. A preliminary court hearing is scheduled on Nov. 4.
