SANTA CLARA, California — Brandon Clark scored 13 points, and made 4 of 4 free throws in the final 47 seconds, to lead Santa Clara to a 59-56 win over San Diego on Saturday.

Nate Kratch scored 14 points, on 5-of-8 shooting, and grabbed eight rebounds for Santa Clara (7-8, 2-2 West Coast Conference). Matt Hubbard added 12 points and a career-high 11 rebounds.

Johnny Dee led San Diego (8-8, 1-3) with 20 points and moved past Brandon Jonhson into first place on the school's career scoring list with 1808.

Jito Kok's dunk with 12:03 left gave the Toreros a 45-39 lead, but Hubbard scored nine-straight Santa Clara points during the ensuing 16-7 run that made it 55-52 with 2:48 to go.

A jumper by Dee and two free throws by Chris Anderson gave San Diego a one-point lead with 71 seconds remaining, but the Toreros wouldn't score again and Clark made four free throws from there to seal it.
