CANNON TOWNSHIP, Michigan — Authorities say a 58-year-old man found dead while bow hunting in Kent County died of natural causes.

The sheriff's department says Michael William Jonkman of Courtland Township was found dead on Tuesday morning in Cannon Township. He had been hunting on private land with a cousin, who found him dead at a time when they were supposed to meet.

The sheriff's department says Friday it was determined that Jonkman had an extensive medical history. No autopsy was conducted.
