16-year-old Louisville teen fatally shot, second person injured

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky — A shooting in Louisville has claimed the life of a 16-year-old girl.

Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Rita Taylor told The Courier-Journal (http://cjky.it/1pARZkQ) that Shavon Ross died Saturday night of multiple gunshot wounds. Another person with her suffered injuries, but that victim was expected to survive.

Police say the canvassed the neighborhood where the shooting took place for evidence, but they don't have any suspects.

The shooting remains under investigation.
