PORTLAND, Oregon — A federal judge in Portland has sentenced a Tacoma, Washington, man to 25 years in prison for four counts of sex trafficking involving two teenage girls.
U.S. District Judge Anna Brown sentenced 30-year-old Christopher Wilmer on Wednesday.
He pleaded guilty to the charges in May, just weeks before his scheduled trial. The case involved a 16-year-old and an 18-year-old.
Court records show the investigation began on Feb. 22, 2012, when police responded to a call for help from the 18-year-old at a Motel 6. She reported that her pimp had locked her out of a room where he was also pimping another young woman.
Federal prosecutors say investigators uncovered records of Wilmer's travel with the victims on trains and buses between Oregon and Washington.
