Grain lower, livestock lower

CHICAGO — Grain futures were lower Monday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery was off 5.75 cents to $5.8475 a bushel; September corn was 6 cents higher at $4.2250 a bushel; December oats were unchanged at $2.7450 a bushel; while November soybeans lost 16 cents at 10.1425 cents a bushel.

Beef was mostly lower and pork lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle was .13 cent higher at $1.5135 a pound; August feeder cattle was .13 cent lower at $2.1732 a pound; August lean hogs fell .12 cent to $.7625 a pound.
