SANTA FE, New Mexico — Bipartisan commissions will hold public meetings in Santa Fe, Lovington and Los Lunas in June to recommend candidates to Gov. Susana Martinez for possible appointment to new judgeships.

A meeting is scheduled June 6 at the Lea County Courthouse in Lovington on a judgeship in the 5th Judicial District. Lawyers have until May 27 to apply to be considered.

A commission is to meet June 9 in Los Lunas to evaluate candidates for a 13th District judgeship in Sandoval County. Applications are due May 29.

A meeting is planned June 19 in Santa Fe to consider applicants for a 1st District judgeship. Applications are due by June 10.
