FAYETTEVILLE, North Carolina — Investigators say a 21-year-old man has been shot to death in Fayetteville after breaking into a man's home while getting away from a fight.
Police said Michael Wha was killed by the homeowner around 11:45 p.m. Saturday.
Authorities say it appears Wha was involved in a fight, then went to his neighbor's home and forced open the front door.
Investigators say they are still trying to determine exactly what happened during the initial fight and why Wha forced his way into his neighbor's home. No charges have been filed, and the homeowner's name has not been released.
