28-year-old North Carolina man struck and killed by a train in Wyoming; no foul play suspected


GILLETTE, Wyoming — A 28-year-old North Carolina man has been struck and killed by a train in northeast Wyoming.

Campbell County Coroner Laura Sundstrom identified the victim as Gregory M. Jones, of Charlotte.

Authorities say his body was found about 10:45 p.m. Tuesday on the tracks in Gillette.

Chief Deputy Coroner Steve Rozier says the incident remains under investigation but it's believed Jones was struck by a train before his body was discovered later by crew on another train.

Rozier tells the Gillette News Record ( ) that the time of death is still being determined and there is no indication of foul play.
