THIBODAUX, Louisiana — Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre says a 39-year-old inmate in custody since January 2014 faces additional charges after he was found fighting another inmate.

Webre, in a news release Tuesday, said an investigation shows Glenn Thompkins had committed a sexual battery on the inmate he was punching in the head about 1 a.m. Sunday. Officers also learned Thompkins had exposed himself to the same inmate prior to the incident.

The other inmate was treated for minor wounds to the head and face.

Thompkins is being held in lieu of $335,000 bond on charges including aggravated incest, distribution of crack cocaine, battery of a police officer and obscenity.

The new charges include a second count of obscenity, sexual battery and simple battery. Bond is now set at $386,000.
