HARRISBURG, New York — State police say a 75-year-old man has been killed in an all-terrain vehicle accident in northern New York.
Troopers say they responded Wednesday afternoon to a report of an unconscious man at a property in the rural Lewis County town of Harrisburg, 60 miles northeast of Syracuse.
Police say their investigation found that the man was backing his ATV on sloped terrain earlier that morning when the vehicle tipped over on its left side, ejecting the man.
Troopers say a family friend later found the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man's name is being withheld pending notification of his family.
