MILAN — Keisuke Honda has an answer for why AC Milan has failed to produce a win in its last three matches.

Honda says, "There are two reasons. First is the physical condition of the squad as we've carried out a very intense program up to this point. Secondly, we're the focus of more attention now. There's more pressure, and the opponents know us."

Milan entered the season with low expectations after finishing in eighth place last season and failing to qualify for Europe.

But Honda scored six goals in Milan's opening seven matches, a period when the Rossoneri lost only once.

The Japan international has gone scoreless in Milan's last three games, including a 2-0 loss at home to Palermo last weekend.

Milan visits third-place Sampdoria on Saturday.
