KING SALMON, Alaska — Alaska State Troopers are investigating vandalism to property belonging to the Pebble Partnership in Iliamna (ill-ee-OM-nah).
Company officials say someone last week set fire to 10 plastic totes stored within a chain link fence at an incinerator site. Each tote was valued at $1,000.
Troopers say the totes were apparently set on fire from outside the fence.
Heat from the fire also damaged wiring at the site.
Illiamna is a community of 97 about 225 miles southwest of Anchorage.
