Rockingham County school bus runs off road, 1 student injured by broken glass

BROADWAY, Virginia — Police say one student suffered minor injuries after a school bus ran off the road in Rockingham County.

Sheriff Bryan Hucheson tells WHSV-TV (http://bit.ly/1ExsNlx ) that the accident occurred Tuesday as the bus was traveling to Plains Elementary in Timberville.

Hucheson says the bus ran off the right side of the road and hit a tree branch. The bus stopped in a ditch line.

The sheriff says one child was injured by broken glass and was taken to a hospital. A total 29 children were on the bus.
