SAN DIEGO — San Diego State has accepted an invitation to play Navy in the hometown Poinsettia Bowl on Dec. 23, the Aztecs' fifth straight postseason appearance.

Navy accepted an invitation following its victory against South Alabama Nov. 28.

It will be a rematch of the 2010 Poinsettia Bowl, when SDSU beat Navy 35-14.

This will be the fourth appearance in the game for the Midshipmen and the third for the Aztecs, who finished the regular season 7-5 overall and 5-3 in the West Division of the Mountain West.

Navy is 6-5 going into its game against Army on Saturday in Baltimore.
