Saharan Serenade takes Aqueduct feature by 3 3/4 lengths

NEW YORK — Saharan Serenade powered to a 3 3/4-length victory Saturday in the $57,000 allowance feature for New York bred fillies and mares at Aqueduct.

Sweeping four-wide through the stretch, Saharan Serenade rolled to a second straight win — both with apprentice jockey Angel Cruz aboard. The 4-year-old trained by John Toscano, Jr. ran six furlongs in 1:12.91.

Saharan Serenade paid $7.10, $3.20 and $2.50 as the 5-2 second choice. My Won Love was second as the 7-5 favorite, returning $2.70 and $2.30. Moldavite paid $3.60 to show.
