WOBURN, Massachusetts — A 32-year-old Brockton woman has pleaded not guilty to charges of motor vehicle homicide and drunken driving in the death of a man who had pulled into the breakdown lane of Interstate 95.
The Middlesex County district attorney's office says Mary Grigoriadis was arraigned Wednesday in Woburn District Court. Bail was set at $10,000 and she was ordered not to drive.
Prosecutors said 71-year-old Vittorio Recupero of Wakefield was fatally injured when Grigoriadis struck him as he stood outside his car near Exit 38 in Reading on Tuesday night.
Prosecutors said Grigoriadis was driving in the right lane of the highway just before the striking Recupero and his car at about 8 p.m..
