Funeral procession scheduled in Springfield for Chicago firefighter killed in crash

SPRINGFIELD, Illinois — A funeral procession is scheduled in Springfield for a Chicago firefighter who died in a central Illinois motorcycle crash.

The procession will start Wednesday morning at St. Aloysius Church for 37-year-old Sean Sloe. The State Journal Register in Springfield (http://bit.ly/13dvi8s) reports the procession will go from the church to Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Sloe was in Springfield to visit relatives on Thursday and was driving his motorcycle onto Interstate 55 when he lost control. He fell to the ground and was then struck by a truck.

Sloe's brother, Mike, is a Springfield firefighter.
