Health officials urge vaccinations as flu cases in Delaware increase

DOVER, Delaware — Public health officials are urging residents to get flu shot as cases of the illness increase in Delaware.

The Division of Public Health said in an email Wednesday that more than 250 cases of the flu have been confirmed in the state this season. Officials also say there has been an increase in emergency room visits by patients with flu-like symptoms.

Two people have died from the flu in the state.

The Division of Public Health has reported influenza A viruses most often.
