Wasson of Wausau Daily Herald named president of Wisconsin Associated Press Editors

MIDDLETON, Wisconsin — Peter Wasson, assistant managing editor at the Wausau Daily Herald, has been elected president of the Wisconsin Associated Press Editors Association.

He succeeds Sid Schwartz, editor at The Janesville Gazette.

Also elected were Aaron Holbrook, editor of the Daily Citizen in Beaver Dam; Teryl Franklin, platform content manager for the Wisconsin State Journal; and Jamie Rokus, community engagement editor, Wisconsin Rapids Tribune.

The selections were made Thursday at the association's annual meeting in Waukesha.

The association is made up of editors of Wisconsin daily newspapers that are members of The Associated Press.
