The Blackhawks (13-1) went up 17-0 early in the fourth quarter, turning a fumble recovery into a 49-yard scoring drive, culminating in Bryce Niemi's 15-yard TD run and a 2-point conversion.

Pepin/Alma (13-1), which had topped 40 points in six of its nine regular-season games, finally got on the board with 4:55 left on Sam Mueller's 6-yard scoring pass to Ronnie Engstrand to make it 17-6.

On the Eagles' next possession, Mueller connected with Caiden Haake for 69 yards on fourth-and-27 to the Blackhawks' 13-yard line. Two plays later, Mueller hit Randall Engstrand with a 10-yard scoring pass to cut the lead to 17-12.
