USA Pro Challenge to start in Steamboat Springs; Arapahoe Basin, Copper to host for 1st time

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colorado — Next year's USA Pro Challenge will start in Steamboat Springs and include Arapahoe Basin and Copper Mountain for the first time.

Organizers announced Thursday that some of the world's top cyclists will start the race Aug. 17 with a circuit race in Steamboat Springs. They will also pass through Aspen, Breckenridge and Golden before ending in Denver on Aug. 23.

The second-to-last stage hasn't been determined yet. Organizers are once again asking fans to vote on where Stage 6 should be.

This is the third time in the race's five year history that Steamboat has been included in the route.
