Bellingham man dies in two-car crash on I-495

BELLINGHAM, Massachusetts — Massachusetts State Police say a local man has died in a two-car crash on Interstate 495 in Bellingham.

Troopers responded to the Exit 18 area at about 12:45 a.m. Sunday where they found that Honda Civic was involved in a crash with a Toyota Camry.

The driver of the Honda, identified as 36-year-old Gerard Frappier, died as a result of his injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle was a 38-year-old man from Brockton.

Some lanes of the highway were shut down for several hours after the crash.

No citations were issued and the crash remains under investigation.
