Former Bismarck music teacher pleads guilty to 3 felonies for having sex with 17-year-old girl

BISMARCK, N.D. — A former Bismarck grade school music teacher has pleaded guilty to having sex with a 17-year-old girl.

John Krueger pleaded guilty Tuesday to three felony charges of corruption or solicitation of a minor. He will be sentenced later. He faces up to five years in prison on each charge.

Krueger is a former instrumental music director at three Bismarck Roman Catholic schools. The Bismarck Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/JEsJBJ) Krueger resigned his job in February after he was arrested.

During his court appearance Tuesday, Krueger said he'd had sexual contact with the girl at a motel, a home and a Bismarck radio station.

Krueger is free on $2,000 bond until he's sentenced. His lawyer says Krueger has undergone treatment for alcoholism. Court records say Krueger was drunk during some of the encounters.
