Divers recover 2 more bodies from Maine's Rangeley Lake; snowmobilers went missing last winter

RANGELEY, Maine — The Maine Warden Service dive team has recovered the bodies of two men whose snowmobiles crashed through ice on Rangeley Lake last winter.

Spokesman Doug Rafferty says the dive team used side-scan sonar to locate the bodies late Wednesday morning in 60 feet of water. Then divers brought them to the surface.

Wardens believe the remains are those of 40-year-old Ken Henderson of China and 41-year-old John Spencer of Litchfield. The body of a third man, 43-year-old Glenn Henderson of Sabattus, was recovered late last week.

The three men are believed to have gone in the water on the same night a Yarmouth woman was killed when she accidentally rode her snowmobile onto the partially frozen lake.
