Concord gets ready for 28th annual Christmas tree lighting

CONCORD, New Hampshire — New Hampshire's capital city is getting ready for its annual Christmas tree-lighting ceremony.

The 28th annual event gets underway at 4 p.m. Friday outside the Statehouse in Concord. The tree lighting takes place at 6 p.m.

A petting zoo will be set up for children on the Statehouse lawn. There also will be music.
