Former chief charged with embezzling about $25,000 from Rivesville Volunteer Fire Department

RIVESVILLE, West Virginia — A former chief has been charged with embezzling from the Rivesville Volunteer Fire Department.

Media outlets report that 30-year-old Justin Michael Stover of Rivesville is accused of using a department debit card to buy items and withdraw cash for his personal use from 2012 to 2013.

The purchases and cash withdrawals totaled about $25,000.

State police arrested Stover on Monday.
