Wilmington police investigate shooting, man shot in legs, abdomen

WILMINGTON, Delaware — Wilmington police say they are investigating a shooting that left a 31-year-old man wounded in the legs and abdomen.

Police say the shooting was reported about 3:20 p.m. in the 2600 block of North Claymont Street. Police say the unidentified man was taken to Christiana Hospital, where he was reported in critical but stable condition.

Police say their initial investigation indicates the man was walking when he was struck by gunfire from unknown suspects.
