MORIARTY, New Mexico — Torrance County authorities have arrested a man accused of shooting two people, one fatally, outside a strip club.

Torrance County Sheriff Heath White says Morgan Dunkle allegedly shot two men in the parking lot after a fight inside Club 203 and then fled the scene around 2 a.m. Saturday.

White says deputies spotted Dunkle's vehicle on Interstate 40 and pursued him.

Authorities say that is when Dunkle abandoned his car and ran from them on foot, stripping off his clothing along the way.

He was only clad in underwear when deputies arrested him.

White declined to identify the victims but said one is expected to survive.
