Italian manufacturer Provides Metalmeccanica to establish first US operation in Augusta County

RICHMOND, Virginia — Italian company Provides Metalmeccanica is planning to establish its first U.S. manufacturing operation in Augusta County, creating 45 jobs.

Gov. Terry McAuliffe said Thursday that the company will invest $6.1 million for the project.

The company manufactures evaporators and condensers and supplies those components to major HVAC companies worldwide. It will co-locate with Daikin Applied in Verona in a 40,000-square-foot space.

Officials say the new location will enable the company to further grow its business and reduce product time to market for North and South American customers.
