BRYAN, Texas — A Central Texas grand jury has indicted a former reserve police officer who authorities say had child pornography on his cellphone.

Sixty-two-year-old Dennis Fraley was being held at the Brazos County Jail on Friday morning without bond. His charges include 58 counts of child pornography possession.

A Brazos County grand jury on Thursday found there is enough evidence to charge the former Bryan Police Department officer.

Authorities say a friend of Fraley alerted authorities after finding photographs on the phone in September while helping Fraley install a mobile application. Fraley resigned following the arrest and told investigators he had arrested people like himself.

Online jail records didn't indicate an attorney for Fraley.
