Authorities investigating death of 57-year-old Larimer County Jail inmate


DENVER — Authorities are investigating the death of a 57-year-old Larimer County Jail inmate.

The Larimer County coroner's office identified the woman Tuesday as Ruth Yager-Wilton, of Fort Collins. Investigators have not said how she died, but the sheriff's office said she was hospitalized Saturday after jail medical staff determined she needed care for pre-existing health conditions. Yager-Wilton died at the hospital Monday.

The Denver Post reports ( ) she was booked into the jail June 24 on charges of second-degree criminal trespass and obstructing a peace officer.
