1 dead, 2 rescued after boat capsizes off South Florida coastline


BOCA CHITA KEY, Florida — One man is dead and two others were rescued after their boat capsized off Boca Chita Key.

Officials from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission say a wave caused the 23-foot vessel to capsize Sunday afternoon.

Emergency crews attempted CPR and took the man to Mercy Hospital in Coconut Grove, where he was pronounced dead.

The names of the man or the two others who were rescued have not been released.
