Small plane makes emergency landing on highway in Carlyss

CARLYSS, Louisiana — Authorities say a small plane has made an emergency landing on La. 108 in Carlyss.

KPLC-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1slNj2z ) the plane made a hard landing on the road.

There's no word of any injuries.

According to the FFA registry, http://registry.faa.gov/ , the plane is a fixed-wing, single-engine Piper PA-28 Cherokee. It was manufactured in 1971 and is registered to Richard E. Turkel of Orange, Texas.
