GLASGOW, Scotland — Celtic stretched its lead over Scottish Premiership title rival Aberdeen to six points with a 4-0 victory of the Dons on Sunday.

Celtic's Craig Gordon was the busier goalkeeper in the first half before an initial mistake from Aberdeen counterpart Scott Brown led to defender Jason Denayer heading the hosts in front from a corner in the 37th minute.

Aberdeen, so impressive before the break, fell apart in the second half. And after several close chances, striker Leigh Griffiths made it 2-0 with a penalty in the 63rd minute before midfielders Gary Mackay-Steven and Stefan Johansen added further goals.
