Gang member arrested in Yakima shooting was convicted in 2010 drive-by

YAKIMA, Washington — A 19-year-old gang member with a previous conviction for a drive-by shooting was arrested Wednesday in Wapato and accused of shooting at four members of a family in Yakima.

Police told Yakima Herald-Republic (http://bit.ly/12xraNW) the man exchanged words with family members as they left a market Monday night and then followed them home and fired shots as they pulled into the driveway. They were shaken but unhurt. Police say the family has no gang ties.

In 2010 the suspect was sentenced to more than a year in prison for a drive-by shooting in Yakima.
