Driver in crash that killed boy, 4, in Maine last month now reported missing


CASCO, Maine — A driver who was involved in a crash that killed a 4-year-old in Maine last month is now missing.

WCSH-TV reports ( ) the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office confirmed Michael Minson was reported missing last Thursday.

Minson was driving in a car with 4-year-old Cameron Peterson and his mother on Aug. 11 in Casco.

The Portland Press Herald previously reported that Minson was running late for his job at Dunkin' Donuts in Naples when he lost control of the car and crashed into a utility pole. Cameron was thrown from the car in the crash and died on impact.

Minson and Peterson's mother were hospitalized with serious injuries.

Police are still investigating the crash.

Minson has been entered into the National Crime Information Center as a missing person.
