Kingman woman who had electricity cut off arrested with generator taken from neighbor

KINGMAN, Arizona — Deputies in Mohave County say a Kingman woman whose electricity had been turned off has been arrested after a stolen generator and other items taken from a neighbor were found in yard.

Deputies a neighbor of 36-year-old Melissa Renee Walls called them Tuesday to report that her property had been burglarized. Besides the generator, the 72-year-old woman said an air compressor, paint sprayer and pressure washer were taken.

The Kingman Daily Miner reports (http://bit.ly/1topztw ) deputies found cut locks on sheds and a motor home. They then began walking the adjacent and spotted the generator on Walls' back porch. They also spotted a tag on her power service indicating it was disconnected.

Walls was arrested for possessing stolen property and burglary tools. It's unknown if she has a lawyer.
