Woman killed in North Hollywood hit-and-run identified as Sun Valley resident, 57

LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles County authorities say a woman killed in a hit-and-run crash has been identified as a 57-year-old Sun Valley resident.

The coroner's office says Melva Chapman died at the scene of the crash Friday night in the North Hollywood area.

Witnesses say Chapman was hit by a Toyota pickup. Police say the driver left without stopping to help the woman.

The Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/18EDSEk) no arrests have been made and no suspects have been named.
