Truck hits, kills 34-year-old Billings pedestrian


BILLINGS, Montana — Billings police say a truck driven by an 18-year-old man struck and killed a Billings woman.

The Billings Gazette reports ( ) the truck hit a puddle Thursday night on Bench Boulevard.

Police Lt. David Cardillo says the spray from the puddle hit the windshield and obscured the unnamed driver's vision.

The man was unable to stop before striking the 34-year-old woman in the roadway.

The driver told police he was driving the speed limit.

Cardillo says the investigation is continuing and it is too early to determine whether any citations will be issued.
